Terms and conditions for purchasing a premade design license.
As you can see in the design store, there are options listed for each image. This is for licensing to non competitive markets. This means that if you purchase art for your band (for example), the art remains available to be licensed for other uses that aren't in competition with you in the market.
In most cases the art will likely never sell to a second client because my art is more geared toward bands. The main reason i did things this way is to make it clear that i do not want anyone to abuse my offer and make unfair use of the art.
For example, in the past i have had bands sell my art to other bands because they no longer wanted to use it. That will not work. I also do not want people to pay to use it for one thing and then use it for other things. Your band is not a skateboard company or a jeweler ( for example). Yes, i had a guy buy my art for t-shirts and make jewelry out of it. Another guy immediately breached contract, wanting to make the art into masks. I cancelled the project.
That's not fair to me. And if i see you do something along these lines i will never work with you again.
If you want exclusive use of the artwork then we can arrange for you to pay me yearly royalties . Otherwise, it is more than fair to provide a lifetime license for a flat fee.
I will not sign over authorship of the artwork under any circumstances. All art listed on this website is created solely by Mark Cooper and i reserve the right to make prints of my work.
Band art license includes Album cover, t-shirts, stickers, patches, and posters (band stuff) unless otherwise arranged.
Book cover means what it says. Use it on your book cover or poster unless otherwise arranged.
Skate deck means what it says, etc..
